Early Life

François was born and raised in Canada and France. He can speak English, French, and Spanish fluently. He attended Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, a Boys Choir School, where he learned to sing and play the piano. In 2007, he graduated from Conservatoire d’art dramatique in Montreal, Canada.

Career

François is best known for his performances as Cesare Borgia in Showtime’s TV series The Borgias, as Antonin in the French Canadian movie I Killed My Mother (J’ai tué ma mère) directed by Xavier Dolan, and as Oscar in the NBC hit series Blindspot. In 2010, he received a VFCC Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Canadian Film for I Killed My Mother, which received an eight-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival.

François currently leads the cast of Midnight, Texas on NBC. In this series based on books by Charlaine Harris, he portrays the role of troubled psychic Manfred Bernardo.
